Welcome to Fancy's Page

SunnyDaze One Chance Fancy

This is a baby picture of our Fancy. She is sleeping with her friend

Fancy (Pembroke Welsh Corgi)

Fancy is a 4 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Fancy is my first show dog that I bred myself.

Fancy pants A.K.A Fancy is a very outgoing corgi. Like her mom Fancy likes her loving too. She also loves to play with who ever will play. When Fancy was old enough to come out and play Jazz our Basset was her playmate. Jazz was so good with her.

I am not sure where in Fancy's pedigree she has cat or goat but this dog is always climbing up on the back of the couch or on top of whoever is laying on the couch. It seems like she always has to be laying on top of something.

Fancy was named after the song by Reba McEntire called "One Chance Fancy"

So as the song says "Here's Your One Chance Fancy Don't Let Me Down"

Fancy Laying in the Backyard!!

Fancy will most likely be retired this summer.
Since her surgery she has become very crippled

Her front feet are way down on her pasterns,

at times she walks alot on her hocks in the rear.

I have taken her to the vet and he X-Rayed her back .

The X-rays didnt show anything that would cause her problem.

I then found a canine chiropractor in Plover, Wisconsin

We are trying to make her more comfortable.

The treatments are helping her some.

She is also on pain medicine to keep her more

comfortable.

Fancy gave us a scare

Fancy resently became sick. Stopped eating for what seemed like no reason.

We tried different things to get her to eat and she would eat it once or maybe twice and not eat it again. Finally Monday the 18th of December we took her into the vet. The vet did the exam couldnt find anything so did a panel of blood tests. they come back good, so they decided that they would take an X-Ray. They found on the X-Ray that her Spleen was 5 times larger than it is suppose to be. Fancy had surgery on Monday afternoon. They removed her spleen everything else inside looked good. Her Blood Count was really low so they had to give her a blood transfusion before they could do the surgery. ( Fancy is now part German Shepard) I called Monday afternoon and she was resting comfortbly. Tuesday afternoon we went to get her and bring her home and they said they were going to keep her cause she wasnt doing so well. They gave us all these things that could be wrong with her and the reasons that her spleen was so big, and if it was one of these things we would have to take her to the university. We went home that night very upset and wondering if we would ever be able to bring our Fancy girl home.

The next morning I called the office to see how she was doing and to our amazement  she was doing alot better and they told us that we could bring  her home. I went directly to the vets office after work that day and picked our baby girl up. She is now at home doing very well she is eating better. I think she is glad to be home too.
